Day 12 November 17 2012 Saturday

Another wonderful day!

Woke up this morning to another beautiful day. We stayed at the marina to wash clothes, and just hang out for a while. The marina has a really nice washroom and very nice bathrooms and very very clean. We ate at a place called Vowell’s for breakfast. It is a very clean and nice grocery with a huge deli in the back. I can’t complain about breakfast we had eggs bacon gravy and biscuit with drink for 3 dollars! After that we went to (of course) Wally world to pick up a few more staples. (milk and OJ esp). We drove thru the town with its old houses built with true craftsmanship. I love the old buildings where hardware stores and old general stores use to be. After driving thru town we went back to the boat Steve toured the docks and other sailboats while i washed clothes. We got to the boat gassed it up and took off back down the waterway at around 2:00. We made 26 miles before anchoring out in front of what looks like a private beach in the middle of nowhere. It was beautiful and quiet we heard only one gunshot and a dog barking. This in the middle of nowhere. We grilled steaks and had roast corn before we went to sleep to the rocking of the boat.  The end to another great day on the water.

Captains Log: MM 187.7 good anchoring point on the southbound starboard side, throw both anchors to keep boat from swinging back into channel. 1.5 ft under keel.
