We are headed to Pensecola today 47 miles away. We gassed up the boat and generator this am,filled water tank, cleaned the outside of the boat as best we could having trouble getting diesel stains from the exhaust to completely come off the back of the boat. Any suggestions? Water is 1-2 foot waves today. We are having a ball. Its 10:44 AM will write more later. It has been a beautiful day today. Ran aground in Pensecola bay but luckily we got the boat moving again. There is very thin water in the bay. After that we traveled down the bay by the beautiful; beaches. We are on the ICW (intercostal water way), the ocean is just separated by a thin strip of beaches. We have seen so many dolphins today, they are beautiful. I love the warm weather and the sandy beaches they are so white. Steve is doing a wonderful job with the boat. Its hard to keep track of the days and hours and we love it! Watching the pelicans dive into the water like circus performers jumping from high dive is so funny, they hit the water like dive bombers splashing water up in a big spray! The dolphins swim like synchronized swimmers, perfect harmony! Doing something with someone you love is wonderful weather it be hiking, biking, or just hanging out or sailing to the Bahamas. We have seen so much on this trip and cant wait to see more. We are headed to Destin tomorrow.
CAPTAINS LOG: we logged 51 miles today from mobile to Pensacola bay.
