I tried to get up at 6AM to beat the fog (haha), but the fog rolled in about 6;30 to let me know who was in charge! We waited patiently until around 7when we heard another boat captain hail the lock in the fog. I was like OKAY if he can do it so can we. What i didn’t know was that he had done this many many times. I figured hey we need the practice using our radar for navigating so lets hit it Captain Steve. Slow and steady was our mode of operand. Looking through the thick blanket of white nothingness I saw a speck of darkness moving quickly, that turned out to be a very dedicated bass fisherman out to get that early catch. Luckily we missed him as he was moving quickly. We traveled on taking it slow and using our radar for about 35-40 minutes. Just as soon as the fog moved in BOOM we were out of it like driving through door into clear skies. It was like “let there be light” lol.
The weather has been beautiful today and the scenery is breathtaking with the all the wonderful colors of fall, the bright browns, the regal reds, and the dazzling yellows. Falling into the water like feathers floating in the air to gently touch down on the sparkling water and float into the sun. The rock cliffs with their high tops and trees leaning over the top as if they are looking for something lost in the water. There are so many beautiful things to see as we float slowly by and just admire Gods handiwork.
