We sailed to Farmers Cay today. This cool little island has a small store/bar at the dock. We beached our dinghy’s it’s easier that way, although you get a little wet and sand filled sandals😂. There were some cool sharks and stingrays hanging out in the bay. We walked over the sandy beach and made our way to the dock to check out the store and buy a drink. I had a Grape Fanta, sold to me by cashier /bartender/ policeman! It’s a small island with an airstrip and they have a regatta( small sailboats racing). A lot of people come to the island for this event. We walked across the island all the way to the airstrip and regatta landing. The restaurant was closed but we sat on the tables with thatched roofs outside and just enjoyed the view. I picked up thatch chair and sat it on a rocky ledge on the beach and relaxed. I wish my little buddy Jett and his family was here with us. I want to share the ethereal beauty of this place with my family! There are so many abandoned houses resorts and businesses on these islands. The little grocery store had minimal but good basics. We had to go to her house and ask her to open up for us. She was happy to do it! In the small islands they aren’t at their stores all the time but will open up if you need them to. I love to ride around in the dinghy looking for old abandoned places. And find cool places to hunt for little beach treasures. We stayed here for the night and decided to hit the next town!
