Steve and I had a great week at home. I got to spend a lot of time with my grandson even though I had to let my beautiful Dana go. She was with me for 9 great years, and couldn’t have asked for as better friend. Jett and I hit the climbing walls downtown and I found I still have good upper body strength to get to the top! We had a blast. I got to see a few friends. Due to time constraints , didn’t get to see them all. Baseball games and practice you know!

So today Steve and I jumped up at 6:00 am and set sail toward the Dominican Republic. There are 6-7 boats headed that way today! After a great start we headed out for our next adventure. The first day we got to know a lot of friends on the radio. And just enjoyed the sailing. The seas were pretty calm and we were able to enjoy the day cook lunch and I got some sleep for the night watch. I enjoy the serenity of the night.

Ok today is the big day!!! Got up to the sound of the shop vac going off and Steve vacuuming the bilge. He said we had a leak…oh no! Well he found the leak and fixed it up, whew! The generator hose clamp broke.

Today we are taking our laundry in to town to get it cleaned. It’s cheaper than doing it yourself! Getting ready for our trip home. We are on a mooring ball by the Chat and Chill beach and we are getting ready to take it over to hurricane hole number 2 ran by a gentleman named Wendal. The moorings are secure and he is really nice! We have to wait on a guy to leave tomorrow so we can grab that ball! There was a very cool gentleman that came today to give a talk on the Carribean. He was Australian and his wife was young and French. Or she spoke French very well. Victoria and Mike with their little buddy Ocean came also. It was a really informative speech telling us all about the Carribean islands. What to do how much it costs, what and where to avoid and the activities the islands have. After that we met Barry Andrea Jan Steve Victoria and Mike for lunch at SPLASH restaurant and resort. They have these cool swings you set in at the bar. So cool.
