We arrived at the inlet to Bimini at 7am and the rollers(big rolling waves) denied us entry for a few minutes. We backed off retimed our entry after several boats came out and Boom we were there!! We didn’t know when we came in we were blocking a delivery cargo ship until we hailed them and the captain said he was waiting on us to move😂. So we moved our boat to the back of his ship and rounded a trawler then went into an empty slip at Bluewater Marina and TJ helped us tie up. He was very friendly and very accommodating. We didn’t realize how lucky we were until we saw all the boats coming in around lunch time! Several boaters came by to say hi and check out the dinghy. I was excited to explore the island and see some of the places we first visited in 2011. CJ’s conch shack had expanded in the ten years we hadn’t been there. It was not friendly at all and seemed to be dirtier and too touristy with an added drink shack and a very questionable bar hooked on to it. So food was 🤮. We wondered the island for the whole day on the 11 am and rented a golf cart on the 12 to roam around. I was disappointed that the bakery had moved that had the awesome cinnamon rolls! But I think we found it in a different location. The cinnamon roll was delicious. Then we get to a small shack on the island that serves conch fritters and another restaurant next to it that offers cracked conk. It took forever to get our food and locals were put before us. I found out the islanders aren’t as friendly due to contractors bringing in their own crew and not hiring the locals and now they have cruise ships so that helps destroy islands. It was a great place 10 years ago. Not so much now. But on to the next! The water is beautiful. The sun is shining and now we are on Bahamian time!

Today was the poker run! You go to different places to get a card and whoever has the best hand wins! There were a ton of boaters competing!

Beautiful sunset to end a beautiful sailing day!
